Fiona Stuart-Wilson studied Music at Selwyn College, Cambridge where she also held a choral scholarship, and piano and singing at Trinity College of Music, London. She subsequently studied with Nigel Beavan and most recently has worked with the celebrated Italian tenor and voice-actor Marco Beasley.
Her repertoire ranges from medieval music through music of the baroque era, to contemporary music. She has a particular interest in English song of all periods and has had several works dedicated to her.
Based in London and Spain, Fiona's many concert appearances reflect her versatility. She has been an invited soloist with many choral societies in the UK and also appeared on concert platforms in Spain, Italy, and France. Her festival appearances include concerts in mainland Spain, Italy and the UK, and the Deia International Music Festival, Puigpunyent and Binissalem festivals in Mallorca.
She regularly gives recitals with lutenists Stefano Rocco and Guillermo Femenias , and pianist Bernard Robertson and recently gave a recital in Italy with lutenist Massimo Lonardi.
In 2014 she co-founded 'The Archduke's Consort' with Spanish musicians and has performed with this ensemble at many festivals in Spain. The Consort has recently released their CD, a programme of Italian renaissance and baroque music, entitled 'Scherzi Amorosi'.
